Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has joined the growing digital campaign dubbed ‘Niko Kadi’ as civic mobilisation efforts gain momentum across the country.
In a statement shared on his official X account on Saturday, March 21, 2026, the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader emphasized the importance of voter registration, calling on eligible Kenyans to take part in the democratic process.
Gachagua noted that registering for a voter’s card is a crucial step in shaping the country’s leadership and future, urging citizens not to be left out ahead of upcoming elections.
The ‘Niko Kadi’ campaign, which has been gaining traction online, seeks to encourage more Kenyans—especially young people—to acquire voter cards and actively participate in national decision-making.
As political activity begins to pick up, leaders and civic groups alike are intensifying efforts to boost voter turnout and awareness across the country.
