A section of opposition leaders, including James Orengo, Edwin Sifuna, and Babu Owino, on Sunday arrived in Narok for the much-anticipated Linda Mwananchi rally.
The leaders were received by supporters in large numbers, signaling strong public interest in the civic mobilisation campaign.
Their arrival comes amid tension after police earlier ordered the removal of public address systems at the venue, citing security concerns. Despite the directive, the leaders proceeded with their plans, setting the stage for a possible standoff between organisers and authorities.
The Linda Mwananchi initiative has been gaining momentum across the country, drawing crowds and sparking political debate as leaders push for increased citizen participation and voter registration ahead of upcoming elections.
