A Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Meru County, DMK Kiogora, has launched a scathing attack on Governor Mutuma M’Ethingia, accusing him of poor leadership just months after taking office.
Kiogora, who was among leaders pushing for the impeachment of former Governor Kawira Mwangaza, expressed regret over the decision, saying expectations for better leadership have not been met.
“When we impeached former Governor Kawira Mwangaza, we thought Mutuma M’Ethingia would perform. Now he is repeating the same mistakes that made us impeach his predecessor,” Kiogora stated.
In a blunt assessment, the MCA went further to claim that the current governor’s performance is even worse.
“He is worse than Kawira,” he added.
The remarks signal growing political tensions within Meru County’s leadership, raising questions about governance and stability following the controversial impeachment of Mwangaza.
Kiogora’s statements are likely to intensify scrutiny on Governor M’Ethingia’s administration as residents and leaders alike weigh in on his performance.
